Hey Ian,

In reply to your comment above, I would recommend writing your goal as "I choose to..." instead of "I want to..." or worse, "I will..."

The latter two point to an achieved goal that is far off in the distance, somewhere off in the horizon, while the first one acknowledges that you are living your goal at this very moment.

Best of luck with your goal setting--

Hi Gene,

Very helpful information, one question I have is how do you write a goal? Should you write it as " I will have xxxx" or should you write it as " I have xxxx"?

Thanks,

Ian.

Hi. I find a lot of wisdom in the words put here on this page what comes to self sabotage, I guess I am the shampion of self sabotage! I am very intelligent, beautiful and most of all kind and sympathetic but all that is not enough for me, I never find my positive sides without showering myself with critisism, allways thinking about how bad I am , how ugly I am and how worthless!!!! Well I am not native english it's why I find it a bot difficult to explain my feelings but that was a little summary on how I am destroying myself...all the 10 tell tales you named here in this article apply to me! If I can find someone who assist me in going over this behaviour I will be very grateful.
My kind regards
